Admiral Chaloner House in Belmangate, Guisborough, dates from 1973. It was once the home of Admiral Thomas Chaloner and a local miners’ hospital. The house was later used as a print works before sitting empty for a number of years.

The Victorian Gothic architecture was maintained and combined with a luxury feel. Care was taken to match the brickwork and replicate period features, including arched windows, to blend old and new seamlessly. Original features including an elaborate wooden porch, tall chimneys and detailed stonework, were all preserved to create the unique apartments.

All 14 luxury apartments were sold within 12 months, with the Gross Development Value (GDV) of the development standing at £2.1m.
